Sample of our Recent Projects

The project we are proudest is

The project we are proudest of was with a small non-for-profit organization, which gives services to children with different capabilities (what are wrongly called disabilities). The board of directors, recognizing the high quality of work the organization provides, voted for opening as many branches as possible, so many more kids can benefit from their services. We analyzed the core competencies of the NGO and found they differentiated from similar ones in their capability to apply a holistic treatment method that goes well beyond the kid and encompasses her family, community and even government. This knowhow did not exist in any other similar organization not in Israel, nor in the world!  (the wonders of the internet access to information). The CEO courageously and subtly managed to convince the Board, with our support, to switch development direction. Nowadays a small organization in the center of Israel, serves as an advisor to the UN.

The only concept a CEO needs to leverage are Core Competencies, do you know yours?

The most playful and funny project

We call it our pet project and it is the most playful and funny project. We train individuals to run entrepreneurship and innovation bootcamps over three weeks during summer vacation with … children 9-10 years old! The contents are easily accessible, all the kids need is their parents’ consent, knowledge of basic math, reading skills and an adventurous spirit. The process has our “secret ingredients” that can be easily applied almost anywhere in the world. Before the end of the bootcamps kids sell their product/service at a public space. The most innovative service I saw, was a kid selling jokes: “please put a dollar on the table, if I manage to make you laugh, I earned the dollar, if not you can take back.”

Psychological Capital is the most important factor contributing to a successful entrepreneur. How are you nurturing yours?

Innovation at work, also at innovative organizations

Worked with a modern electronics company. The company is very successful introducing frequently successful new products to the market. With a managerial vision of what works – can and have to be improved – they hired our OT2I process to improve their innovation processes and that’s when we met some surprises along the way. One surprise came after training management on Brainstorming:

got fulfilling answers like – “have tried many times, does not work” to “wow how come we did not know before, this is the way to do it right?!” We also had heated discussions with the marketing the department. Got the gratifying attitude change from “you are not a marketing professional, so what can you contribute to our performance?” to “we began this process you reccomended years ago, and it is becoming more and more useful” or “how come all marketing consultants do not how to produce these maps, which are very useful, and you do handle them so well?!”

Make sure you get the sharpest innovation tools available, dull tools make for dull results

All the years I have been working with Dr. Amsel, he held a professional approach, presented updated knowledge, applied a systemic and innovative perspective, that helped me and the organization to achieve important goals.

Zohar Sharon, Municipal Knowledge Manager

Empresas Publicas de Medellín, Colombia

Innovation seems like an extraterrestrial topic for green haired creatures. This process showed me that innovation inputs are at arms length. I also got the tools to leverage those. Humans have an infinite capability to imagine, but mostly we go through a imagination-less life. I discovered the power of imagination and how to apply it towards business ideas.

Mauricio Montoya Piedrahita

ABN AMRO, Paraguay

Dr. Amsel’s Innovation training provided me with practical tools to leverage the innovation potential of my teams. This is a first step to tackle challenges in a creative and productive way. Very good!

Manuel Bogado

Alvarion

In a world of constant change, it is essential that every manager gets this training. Every manager needs to understand and apply innovation management. I am sure I am going to apply to my daily work the tools I have acquired. Hope to met Dr. Amsel again in the near future.

Tal Itzhaki

CONICYT, Gobierno de Guatemala

This training provided me with a different perspective of the workplace.  Exercises that seemed irrational, proved applicable. First time I encounter in a training session that what seems abnormal becomes quite normal.

Guillermo Baldomero De Leon Sosa

El Salvador

Dr. Amsel’s process is a giant opening towards the management of innovation. The methodology of learning by doing and his ample multicultural experience enables us to apply the knowhow, in such a way that saves us reading a hundred books about the topic.
